Joe LeGrand Jr.
Joe graduated from Grove City College in 1979, and started training with his father in the fall of that year. Joe is Board Certified and is a diplomate of the American Society of Ocularists. He is a past senior editor of the Journal of Ophthalmic Prosthetics. He has given numerous lectures on topics such as Pediatric Fitting, Professional Writing, and Fitting Techniques. Joe has published several articles including “The Empirical/Impression Technique for Artificial Eye Fitting”, and “Memories of a Modern Pioneer: Joseph A. LeGrand”.
He is lead author of a chapter on ocular prostheses in the 2012 textbook titled “Retinoblastoma”. Joe and Debbi are active in church. They have two sons: Adam and Nicholas. Joe’s interests include fly fishing and reading.
